The sailing boat for the record was the Optimist, a small, single-handed sailing dinghy intended for use by children up to the age of 15. Youngsters aged from the age of 9 to 14 years old, coming from 27 different countries took place in the regatta. Fraglia Vela Riva to host World Optimist Championships 2013. The best in juvenile sailing is to take place in summer 2013 on Trentino Garda, Italy.

Ledro - Today once again it was very hot here in Ledro but still the breeze came in at mid morning and the race committee were able to run a further 55 races, with 116 (including byes), completed in the first 2 days. Stage 1 permits a maximum total of 120 races so tomorrow morning should see the completion of this stage.
