The 29er Eurocup came to a close today at Riva del Garda after the maximum14 out of 14 scheduled races were completed. Paul Farien- Mirco Kloesel of Germany took first place, while Janezic- Podlogar of Slovenia,second, won the Tour after seven legs. Among the women the Brits came out top after a wonderful performance by El-Khazindar-Loveridge. Strong northerly winds of over 20 knots this morning and the German crew of Farien-Kloesen take over the lead from Slovenians Janezic- Podlogar, who struggled a bit more with the strong wind conditions.

The 29er Eurocup kicks off on Thursday at Riva del Garda. The event, organised by Fraglia Vela Riva, has over eighty boats taking part representing twelve different countries and will finish on Sunday after a maximum 14 races, (up to 4 a day).

Riva del Garda-On the last exciting day of competition the outstanding Rochas of Spain isn't able to topple the leader. Fraglia Vela Riva is well satisfied in its organisation of the first championships of the J70 class with the maximum number of races executed, varied wind conditions and a large fleet of competitors of an excellent technical level.
