Salvatore-Rizzi (SCG Salò) wins 2° Regata Nazionale 29er at Fraglia Vela Riva
Ria del Garda – Emilia Salvatore and Pietro Rizzi (SCG Salò) confirmed their position at the top of the Italian 29er movement by winning, after their victory in Sardinia, the 2nd National 29er Regatta, organized by Fraglia Vela Riva and held over the weekend. The event involved forty-six crews, representing the pinnacle of the national youth sailing movement in this dynamic double-header.
Salvatore-Rizzi, also at the top of the international rankings, made their intent clear by winning the first four qualifying races and finishing fifteenth as their worst result in the final race, the eighth.
Fraglia’s Victoria Demurtas and Ludovico Beretta (FVR) finished with six points, having only once missed the top five, demonstrating their consistency. Luca Scopsi and Edoardo Porchera (CN Marina Carrara), the best Under-19 men, finished with nine points.
The first women’s Under 19 crew, composed of Bianca Marchesini (FVM) and Lucia Finato (FVR), another class leader, finished in fourth place.
In the Under 17 category, Bruno Iacomelli and Matteo Trotta (CV3V) took the win, followed by Pietro Murena (STV) and Giulio Marassi (SKNT) and Slovenians Jure Radic and Lan Pedric (Jadro Koper), for an all-male podium.
With the 2nd National 29er Regatta now behind us, Fraglia Vela Riva is now looking ahead to next weekend, when the Alpen Cup 5.5 will take place in Alto Benaco.
