More than 100 RS Feva in Riva del Garda for the 2025 European Championship

Riva del Garda – The 2025 RS Feva European Championship, an event reserved for this dynamic youth double-handed team, kicked off in Riva del Garda, preceded by a festive opening ceremony that was well attended despite the rain. This event features over one hundred crews from more than ten nations: yet another major event organized by Fraglia Vela Riva as part of an absolutely memorable 2025 season.

Organized in collaboration with the International RS Feva Class Association, the championship will continue until Saturday, the day of the awards ceremony, and will consist of a maximum of twelve races.

The first races, held yesterday afternoon, elevated two British crews to the lead: tied on six points are Matthew and Peter Ridout and Emily and Annabel Ridout, all representing the Ballyholme Yacht Club. In third place, just two points behind, are Giulio Mattanini and Leonardo Scarpellini, athletes from the Fraglia Vela Riva team coached by Chiara Degli Angioli. Completing the overall top five are the Lithuanians Sapkinas-Leipus and the Italian pairing Bastini-Traverso.

“Fraglia Vela Riva is honored to collaborate with the International RS Feva Class Association in organizing their premier continental competition. As a club, we have always supported the participation of younger sailors, and RS Feva has already proven to be a hotbed of talent and is rightfully considered one of the leading youth classes. Given the three races completed yesterday, and the experience of our team on the water, led by Fausto Maroni, I have no doubt that we will be able to complete a high number of races, satisfying all participants,” commented Andrea Camin, President of Fraglia Vela Riva.

Fraglia Vela Riva’s 2025 Racing Season is supported by Suzuki, SLAM, Negrinautica, ITAS Assicurazioni, Rothoblass, and Garda Trentino.
