Riva del Garda – The program for the eighth edition of the Autumn Meeting – Suzuki Trophy – Ezio Torboli has been completed. Nine races were held, with winners representing nine different countries, underscoring the international nature of this event, which Fraglia Vela Riva organized with the support of Suzuki, the club’s official motor supplier. For the record, the 2025 edition took place just days after the renewal of the two-year partnership between Suzuki Italia and Fraglia Vela Riva.

The regatta’s international nature was widely discussed, with over 170 athletes representing over ten nations participating. Dutchman Nicholas Koekkoek won the regatta, winning three races and beating Matteo Ravaioli of Circolo Velico Ravennate, who finished second overall, a full 21 points behind. Completing the Junior podium, which consisted of a Gold and Silver fleet, was Ukrainian Ahnieshka Madonich, who was the best in the women’s field.

Among the very young Cadets, thirty-five in attendance, the top two steps of the podium went to Frenchmen Adrien Cuinet and Greta Albarian, who finished second overall and the best among the women, ahead of Vittoria Pagani, who finished third overall.

The Suzuki – Ezio Torboli Trophy, awarded by regulation to the club that, by adding the results of the two best Juniors and the two best Cadets, achieved the lowest overall score, was awarded to the Fraglia Vela Riva team, which boasted the results of Hidde Wismeijer (6th J), Luciano Watts (10th J), Andrea Radaelli (4th C), and Martino Bertani (7th C).

“Closing a regatta with the completion of the program is always a source of satisfaction: these were three intense days, during which the young participants had the opportunity to race with both the fresh Peter and the Ora, resulting in highly entertaining and competitive races. We are proud to have won the Suzuki Trophy, which represents recognition of the synergy between the brand and our club, based on shared values such as commitment, sustainability, and the development of young talent. There couldn’t have been a better way to celebrate the renewal of our partnership with Suzuki,” commented Andrea Camin, President of Fraglia Vela Riva.

The 2025 Racing Season of Fraglia Vela Riva is supported by Suzuki, SLAM, Negrinautica, ITAS Assicurazioni, Rothoblass, and Garda Trentino.
