La Fraglia Vela Riva ha fin da subito creduto nella classe monotipo J70, tanto da mettere a calendario già nella scorsa stagione l’Eurocup di questo ottimo scafo votato tra le migliori barche del 2013. Vero e proprio boom negli USA quest’anno anche in Europa dovrebbe essere consegnato un buon numero di barche per poter cominciare a regatare con una flotta consistente e agguerrita.

Fraglia Vela Riva has always believed in the mono-type J70 class, voted among the best boats of 2013, so much so that this year's Eurocup has been on the calendar since last season. The popularity of this keel boat has well and truly boomed in the USA and here in Europe we should see a sizeable number for a consistent and competitive fleet.

Riva del Garda-On the last exciting day of competition the outstanding Rochas of Spain isn't able to topple the leader. Fraglia Vela Riva is well satisfied in its organisation of the first championships of the J70 class with the maximum number of races executed, varied wind conditions and a large fleet of competitors of an excellent technical level.

European J70 Championships: Carlo Alberini of Italy on Calvi Network strengthens his lead with an11 pout advantage. Former European 420 junior champion and current  national on the Olympic 470, Simon Sivitz Kosuta, is forced to pull out of the competition after suffering serious damage to his boat.

Great  turn out for the first European Championships of the new J70 monotype organized by Fraglia Vela Riva: 35 crews take part from 8 nations. A perfect first day with 3 regattas completed with southerly winds of 16 knots.
