European Champion 2009 is Jamin Maarten from the Netherlands. Second: Sander Zwanenburg from the Netherlands. Third: Cristian Roukema from the Netherlands. Sweeping victorious with six crews obtaining all top 6 ranking positions, the Netherlands dominated this continent-wide event. Victory in today's sole race was claimed by the Netherlands' Jan Paul and Luca Van der Meeren (NED 345). Earlier in the week's event, we've noted the Dutch sailors' serious Garda-Savoir-Faire. Obvious they love Riva's challenging wind. Judging by the results of this year's Yngling Championship, it seems, as well...that maybe they ARE the wind! Main sponsor of the continent-wide event was Trentino SpA (www.trentino.to). Final scores and ranks are posted on the website www.fragliavelariva.it, in the section dedicated to the YNGLING OPEN SPRINGTIME EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2009.
